Leigh Murray is a Canberra based artist working in Pastel, Pencil, Coloured Pencil and Scratchboard. Her work ranges from Wildlife to Still Life but there is always a connection to nature and that is where her inspiration is drawn from.
Leigh has been the recipient of numerous awards at ASOC (Artists Society of Canberra) and QAS (Queanbeyan Art Society) including many ‘Firsts’ in Pastel and two ‘Best in Show.’ At her first solo exhibition 17 works across her range were sold.
A sponsored trip to Kenya in 2017 has resulted in some new African Wildlife Art and a lot more reference material.
Leigh takes commissions and has work hanging in Australia, Africa, India, Germany and the United Kingdom.
